Position Title: Machine Shop Assistant/Floater

Wage: $18.00 - $20.00/Hour

Shift: 1st Shift

Hours: 06:30 AM - 05:00 PM Monday-Thursday, OT Friday 06:30 AM - 11:00 AM

Machine Shop Assistant/Floater Responsibilities:
- Perform deburring and hand grinding of parts to ensure quality standards are met
- Assist in assembling components and finished products
- Operate brake press and saw equipment, with training provided as needed
- Use power tools and hand tools safely and effectively
- Verify specifications using measurement devices such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
- Support cross-training across different departments and processes
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including general shop cleanup
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
- Assist machine operators and machinists to support production flow

Requirements For Machine Shop Assistant/Floater:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a machine shop or manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of safe use of power tools and hand tools
- Ability to read basic measurements and follow work instructions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing tasks
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Capable of lifting, carrying, and moving materials as needed
- Repetitive task performance ability
